Someone wrote about the stickers! I’ve been leaving a couple stickers on tables when I go to bars & parties. Remember that elementary-school activity where everyone writes their contact info on a card and ties it to a helium balloon and hopes that someone from a far and distant land will find the balloon when it lands and write back (instead animals of eating the balloons & choking)? I don’t remember if anyone ever wrote back from the balloon thing, but finding an incoming link on my blog stats feels just like that!

The link is from Bed-Stuy Banana, who was one of the panelists at the Brooklyn Blogfest and seems like a very interesting person, even if she doesn’t like Last Year’s Model. She did, however, post a picture of us, and even better, she posted a picture of the Jolt gum they were handing out at the party. The packaging is really, really, like unbelievably, cool.

The BlogFest was ok. Mostly I was impressed by how well-spoken and polished all the bloggers were. I expected them to be more — awkward, I guess? Like, it takes me a really long time to write anything even moderately coherent, and here they were, talking, in real-time, without notes, and making sense!

Also, someone said that you have to write about something other than yourself in order to be interesting. Which seems true, most of the blogs I read are about one specific topic or have one specific slant. How I wish I had an obsession or even a normal attention span. T_T
