Behringer XENYX 802 Mixer

The last pair of computer speakers died, so instead of buying a new set, I got a mixer for my guitar amp! Now we can plug in both computers, a keyboard, a guitar, and a microphone and play them all through the amp at the same time!

LeSoNED: Audio

1. If your output is stereo, and you use a stereo cable in the L/Mono input, only the L signal will come out. (I had assumed that both L&R signals would play since the R input was left empty.)
2. Stereo (“balanced”) connectors have two lines going around the plug (at the tip). Mono (“unbalanced”) connectors only have one line going around the plug. There are adapters for stereo to mono.
3. The staff at Guitar Center is surprisingly helpful & friendly, even if they do demand a lot of personal information at the cash register and their stores are chaos and they don’t have a register exclusively for checkout. And sometimes the staff is wrong about how stuff works, but at least they’re not snotty like at Sam Ash (those guys might know more, but they won’t tell you).
4. Some people will push their own buttons if no one will do it for them.
