Vegetarian Guinness Stew

Overnight Oatmeal

Steel-cut oats are the best! They’re much less mushy and much more nutty than instant or rolled oats. I usually cook them using Alton Brown’s recipe, but it takes 30-40 minutes.

Pickleback, A Shot

Instructions: Drink 1 shot of whiskey, immediately followed by 1 shot of pickle juice.
Served at the Whiskey Tavern. It’s pretty good, the pickle juice eliminates the whiskey flavor completely! The bar is pretty fun too — the atmosphere is very, very friendly.

Holiday Not-Shopping: Tom Yum Gai

Tom Yum Gai is the best! It’s a Thai chicken (and sometimes seafood) hot and sour soup. It is stronger than chicken noodle soup and will help you feel better from any head cold.
