Vegetarian Guinness Stew

Recipe: Vegetarian Guinness Stew | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn.
This recipe is pretty good! I used broth instead of bouillon and cut back on the paprika. The stew was a little thin, so I think I would cut back on the liquid next time or let it simmer more aggressively. Or add more vegetables.

The last two soup attempts were vegetarian carrot soup & vegan corn chowder. They were pretty bad. I should probably taste the soup while it’s cooking, even if it’s going to be blended later… What soup recipes do you like?

I hate Audrey Kawasaki girls

There. I said it. I feel better. Please validate my opinion*. Everyone in NYC*a is going nuts over her gallery opening. She seems like a very nice person. And her style, technique, composition are all gorgeous. I actually like some of the drawings in her sketchbooks. Ok, she’s very talented.

But the dreamy-eyed floating girls with pouty lips & a high child-like forehead make me SO ANGRY!*b

Weird.

Weird.

Kam invited me to sell stuff with her at the Martha Stewart Employee craft sale again. Last year I had made some sweater cats and none of them sold. This year, I decided to make something simpler & more normal.

So I silkscreened some greeting cards. It was a very bipolar process (“This looks amazing!” vs. “This is so stupid, I hate everything, I would have so much more space if I just threw out all my craft supplies!”). It’s weird that I only get worked up about certain types of creative projects. Like when I make videos for LYM, I don’t go crazy about how amateur they look. But when I write an email announcement, or a blog post, I can be pretty obsessive. How about you?

Oh yeah! This is my store: moonchacha.etsy.com. Someone bought two cards yesterday, the internet is amazing! I feel like I need to make a blog on my moonchacha site now. That is excessive right?! I think the internet will slowly become more and more casual/personal, and then it will be unnecessary to have a professional and a personal blog.
