Why not give thanks for the things you don’t have? The options are limitless! We call this fun game “At least”.

At least I don’t have carpal tunnel syndrome.

At least I didn’t lose any money in the stock market.

At least I don’t have to return my Old Navy wardrobe to the RNC.

At least it’s not raining inside my apartment.

At least        [your turn!]       .

There is no limit to the number of players. There are no turns. Faster is better. There is no score. There is no end to things that are lesser-than the current situation so you can play forever. In “At least” everyone’s a winner!

(We made up this game while we were on tour—after the van broke down, after we found out the last U-haul in town was broken, after all the car rental companies nearby were closed, when it started to look like we would miss our final homecoming show in Brooklyn.)
